If
you’re planning a trip to Vegas, it’s a pretty safe bet to assume
you know it’s a desert town located in the heart of the Mojave
desert. This means it can get hot, very hot! Vegas has over 300
days of sunshine a year and in the summer months in Vegas can be
stiflingly hot. However, the only saving grace to consider when
looking at the temperatures is that as it’s a desert temperature,
you’ll find that humidity levels are low and the phrase “it’s a
dry heat” does help valid. That said, it’s still very hot.
To try and balance having nice pool weather versus it being too hot to be outside for too long, Spring and Autumn can be the most pleasant times to go. This covers the months of April, May, September and October. But be advised, you can encounter seasonal peaks and lows particularly around early spring and late summer. For instance, I’ve been in Vegas in early October one year and temperatures were up in the hundreds, but a year later at the same time of year the evenings were chilly and whilst the sunny days were still warm (circa late 70s) and nice to sit around the pool, they certainly weren’t hot.
